Solar sector has a great potential in Bangladesh. More than 80 million people do not have excess to electricity and rest 60 million people are getting unreliable power supply. So Solar battery has a great Potential in Bangladesh Market. To speed up the renewable energy sector Government of Bangladesh established Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) on 14 May 1997.

Since its inception, IDCOL is playing a major role in bridging the financing gap for renewable energy projects in Bangladesh. IDCOL started its solar home system program in 2003. From the very beginning of solar home system program, HAMKO corporation Ltd. is playing pivotal role and contributing to proliferation of Renewable Power Generation as the supplier for Solar Batteries, Solar Panels and other related accessories to the rural electrification initiative by different NGO's and System integrators at home and abroad.

Currently HAMKO Corporation Ltd. is contributing in solar sector by supplying solar batteries to more than 20 IDCOL’s PO relentlessly.
